RAY-CORE SIPs combine three labor tasks into one smart panel system. This system utilizes conventional proven building materials: premium doug fir studs, state-of-the-art rigid polyurethane foam, and foil radiant vapor barrier. This brilliant panel coupled with jobsite materials: double top plates, signal bottom plate, headers, king studs, and trimmers will meet all local standard building codes.

RAY-CORE Panel R-Values

As with any insulator (cellulose, fiberglass, polyurethane, and polystyrene a.k.a. EPS or XPS,) when the air temperature drops the R-Value increases. As the air temperature rises the R-Value decreases. It is important that when you see an R-Value you know at what temperature the product was tested. The apples to apples R-Value ASTM C518 standard comparison is 75°F.

1. Foamed-In-Place Metal or Wood Studs
These integrated studs are standard dimensional lumber dimensions that you would find at any building supply center. Unlike traditional sandwich SIPs, your home's structural integrity is not relying on the strength of glue and OSB. You can have peace of mind knowing your wall is resting on solid wood, LVL, or TimberStrand studs.

2. Foil Radiant Vapor Barrier
This paper thin high-tech foil radiant vapor barrier, similar to an emergency heat blanket, helps to reflect the outside temperatures out and the inside temperatures in on any structure.

3. Rigid Polyurethane Foam
This state-of-the-art polyurethane foam produces high R-Values, sound control, and ensures an airtight structure while maintaining its class 1 fire rated standard. RAY-CORE’s quality control standards will not settle for less.
